My teaching career started in Hawaii once I received my B.A. in Psychology and Special Education from Marist College in 2010. I taught 5th grade special education at Nanakuli Elementary on the island of Oahu. Since then I have taught in West Hartford, Hartford, and Avon in special education, classroom, and interventionist positions. I received my M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on schools of the future, from the University of Connecticut in 2013. I am currently a Level I Google Instructor working towards my Level II certification.

I am a passionate educator, striving to inspire, motivate, and guide students to be the best they can be. My students bring me so much joy and I am so lucky to be with them every day. Parents are a huge part in me being able to meet students' needs. I rely on their communication, support, concern, and laughter throughout the school year!

I grew up in Simsbury, CT and now live in West Hartford. I am an avid runner, biker, yogi, hiker, and adventurer. I eat healthy and teach the students how to make healthy choices in their day for their body and their mind! I have a cat, who acts like a dog, named Lili. My family and friends are important to me. They can be found visiting my classroom at various points throughout the year. I often visit family and friends in Boston, Lancaster, Charlotte, Hopkinton, San Francisco, and the Cape. I am so excited to share my hobbies with my students and always enjoy hearing about theirs!
